Wicked!

The magical hit musical, Wicked, is a collision of Legally Blonde and Harry Potter with more singing, less commotion and a foolish old, wonderful wizard instead of an intimidating dark lord.

Since the 20th of September 2014, Wicked has transformed the Capitol Theatre in Sydney into the Land of Oz. The well-known musical stars Lucy Durack, Jemma Rix and Steve Danielsen, who stole the show with their talents. Wicked traces the secret girlhood friendship between the two witches from the Wizard Of Oz. Elphaba, the outcast green-tinged child becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, while her pretty, popular rival, Galinda, grows up to be Glinda the Good.

This unlikely relationship that evolves from loathing to loving, provides an emotional core to the story, stripping all the complexities from the story and leaving the audience sympathetic to the two girls. The Wizard Of Oz is like the sequel to Wicked; once you have seen Wicked, the Wizard Of Oz makes a lot more sense.

So, make sure you are one of the many in the audience of this amazing musical. It is “The Deļ¬ning Musical of the Decade” - The New York Times. Grab your tickets and head to the Land of Oz to experience the magical and enticing musical.
