Importance Of Church Hymns

Church hymns are vital in mass as it is singing that praises and glorifies God. It is also used as a prayer to God (something that I learnt in primary school, and still remember to this day).

Church singing brings a community of people together. It provides church members with an active way to get involved. It is also an activity that clears away social differences and creates a sense of unity and harmony.

All hymns that we sing relate to at least one verse in the Bible, and the Bible teaches us how to be good to our Master, and also act as a mirror, some sort of measurement of our faith and actions. Hence, when we sing hymns, we are actually constantly reminding ourselves of God’s teachings and to know whether we have been walking on the correct path that God is leading us towards.
